We would like to take the opportunity to express our thanks to all the great patrons who called in to see us at Wagin Woolorama last Friday and Saturday. We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Hayley and the team at Bluewater Tanks for hosting and supporting us in what was our inaugural appearance at this fantastic event for attendees of all ages.
This event was a great opportunity to showcase our great range of products and our popular 25,000ltr tank was again a big seller with the exclusive show special throughout the two days. A lot of interest was also shown in the newly released Liquid Fertiliser storage tank of which has also seen strong demand in recent months.
This year saw smaller crowds than normal but showed encouraging signs elsewhere, according to Ag Society figures. Wagin Agricultural Society Secretary Wendy Pederick said some competitions had the highest number of entries they’ve ever seen. “The sheep dog trials were the highest competition numbers in the state.
The RAAF flight on Saturday was a bonus, with five jets putting on a show for patrons around 1pm. Visitor numbers were down on Friday with 5,200 recorded. Stall owners speculated that people may have been put off by the heat, temperatures reaching 37 degrees. Saturday saw milder conditions, the ticker coming in at 11,800 visitors. Total entrants and entries into the show’s various sections and competitions rose this year, with a total of 1489 and 2970 recorded respectively.
So again, thanks to all from Rapid Plastics and we will see either at Dowerin, Newdegate or Mingenew this year or again at Wagin in 2015!
