Introduction

Custom Water Trailer Solutions Powering LGC’s Civil and Rail Projects

LGC Group is one of Western Australia’s leading traffic management and site services providers, with a growing equipment hire and rail services division supporting critical infrastructure projects across the state.

To strengthen his LGC Equipment Hire business, Managing Director Max Line wanted a fleet of compact, highly durable water trailers that civil contractors could rely on for tight metro work sites and demanding regional projects. The new trailers would live in the hire fleet first and foremost—available for a wide mix of civil jobs—while also being versatile enough for LGC’s newly acquired rail services business to use on corridor works when needed.

Partnering with Coerco gave LGC access to purpose-built water delivery and pressure washer units, customised to match their iconic pink brand and backed by responsive local support.

THE CHALLENGE

The Challenges Driving LGC’s Move to Purpose-Built Compact Water Trailers

LGC Equipment Hire services a broad range of civil contractors working on constrained infrastructure and rail-adjacent projects where traditional truck-mounted water carts are hard to use. Max wanted to expand the hire fleet with compact trailers that were easy to tow into tight sites, tough enough to handle harsh conditions and multiple operators, and flexible enough to support LGC’s growing rail services business when required.

Civil contractors struggled to hire compact water carts for tight sites

LGC’s hire customers needed reliable dust suppression and water delivery on jobs where truck-mounted water carts simply couldn’t go—tight civil sites, rail-adjacent works and smaller infrastructure projects. Compact towable options were hard to find in the wider market, and availability was inconsistent when contractors needed them most.

Hire fleet equipment must withstand harsh conditions and multiple users

Trailers in the LGC Equipment Hire fleet are constantly on the move between civil contractors and, at times, remote projects in regions like the Pilbara. They needed tanks, chassis and components that would stand up to rough tracks, long days and a mix of operators without frequent downtime or repairs.

Trailers had to suit future rail work as well

Although the trailers were purchased primarily for civil hire, Max knew LGC Rail Services would also call on them for corridor works. The fleet needed a compact footprint, safe operation around rail infrastructure and the right specification so the same units could move seamlessly between hire customers and LGC’s own rail teams.

THE SOLUTION

Creating a Unified, High-Performance Trailer Fleet for LGC

A dependable source of compact water trailers for civil contractors

By investing in its own fleet of Coerco trailers, LGC Equipment Hire can now offer civil contractors compact water carts when and where they’re needed, rather than relying on limited market availability. Contractors get a consistent, professional solution from a single local supplier.

One hire fleet serving civil and rail projects

The trailers primarily support civil contractors through LGC Equipment Hire, but the same units can also be mobilised to LGC Rail Services projects. This shared fleet approach improves utilisation and proves the equipment’s suitability for both civil and rail environments.

Strong, visible brand presence on every job

The pink Coerco trailers align perfectly with LGC’s broader fleet, creating a professional, instantly recognisable presence on site. For contractors, the distinctive colour signals that they’re working with well-maintained, professional hire gear.

THE IMPACT

A High-Value Trailer Fleet Making a Measurable Difference for LGC

Civil hire ready

Result 1

LGC Equipment Hire now has a dedicated fleet of compact Coerco trailers that civil contractors can book as part of their normal hire arrangements, giving them dependable access to water and washdown capacity on tight and complex sites.

Shared fleet, broader value

Result 2

Although purchased for the hire business, the same Coerco trailers are also used by LGC Rail Services on corridor works when required. This shared use demonstrates the equipment’s versatility and improves utilisation across the group.

Reliable performance in the field

Result 3

Since joining the hire fleet, the trailers have been worked across multiple contractors, job types and locations without reported breakdowns. That reliability helps contractors stay on schedule and reduces call-backs and disruption for LGC’s hire team.
