THE CHALLENGE
Queensland’s volunteer firefighters required a reliable slip-on unit that could securely mount to standard ute trays while maintaining a compact footprint.
The unit needed to remain lightweight and easy to deploy, ensuring volunteers could operate it quickly and safely during emergency response situations.
Strict RFSQ specifications for safety and foam capability had to be met, all while delivering the units under accelerated timelines following floods and bushfire threats.
THE SOLUTION
A self-contained skid unit that fits most ute trays (≤1100 mm). Built to remain under 800 kg fully loaded, ensuring safe operation and making it light enough for volunteer crews.
Includes an adjustable loading stand tailored for style-side vehicles and delivers reliable performance with an integrated hose reel and a Honda GX200 pump.
Features a through-the-pump foam system with an isolator valve, and is engineered tough to meet QFES operational standards.
