The business has recently completed a thorough Operations Review and is ready to implement. Your job is to make it happen. This is a rare opportunity to own a high-impact, fully scoped supply chain transformation — with CFO backing, a clear mandate, and a defined 12-month roadmap already in place.
We're looking for a Supply Chain Transformation Manager for an initial 12-month contract, with strong potential to grow into a longer-term leadership role for the right fit.
Why this role?
The recommendations are done — you're here to implement, not review
Direct access to the CFO and Management Team
Clear milestones, real resources and genuine organisational support
Strong potential to convert to a permanent leadership role for the right person
Scope of duties This is a high-impact role with a clear mandate: take the business from where it is now to where it needs to be from a supply chain perspective. You'll lead the practical implementation of key operational recommendations designed to improve inventory integrity, stock accuracy, system discipline, purchasing controls, logistics visibility and product profitability reporting. This is not a routine supply chain role — it suits someone who enjoys driving positive change, improving systems and processes, and building a sustainable platform for ongoing management.
Responsibilities
Transformation leadership and delivery — lead the 12-month implementation roadmap for inventory, supply chain and logistics improvement initiatives. Translate recommendations into practical workstreams covering inventory integrity, receiving, transfers, pick notes, warehouse controls, procurement planning, BOM accuracy, logistics visibility, system utilisation, KPIs and process documentation.
Inventory integrity and stock control — drive real-time inventory recording, stock movement controls, receiving discipline, pick note usage and inventory adjustment governance.
Systems, data and process improvement — work closely with IT, Finance and Operations to improve utilisation of the existing ERP, including purchasing recommendations, min/max stock levels, pick notes, kitting, inventory reporting and system-based controls. Support the implementation or improvement of ERP, warehouse management, barcode/RF scanning, scheduling and reporting tools.
Forecasting, procurement and supplier planning — lead the development of a formal forecasting and ordering process with defined stakeholders across Finance, Procurement and Operations.
Governance, KPIs, training and change management — develop and implement operational KPIs covering inventory accuracy, stock discrepancies, inventory turnover, picking accuracy, pick/pack cycle time, supplier performance, slow-moving stock and implementation progress.
About you
7+ years' experience in supply chain, inventory management, logistics, warehouse operations, manufacturing operations or operational improvement
Proven experience leading practical process improvement or transformation projects in a product-based, manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, resources, industrial or logistics environment
Strong inventory control experience — stock movements, receipting, transfers, stocktakes, cycle counts, adjustments, reconciliations, master data and aged/slow-moving stock analysis
Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems (MYOB Exo advantageous but not essential)
Experience implementing or improving warehouse management, barcode/RF scanning, min/max planning, MRP, scheduling or related operational systems will be highly regarded
Understanding of product costing, BOMs, inventory valuation and margin drivers in a manufacturing or product-based business
A hands-on operator who can move between strategic planning and practical shop-floor implementation
High attention to detail, with a strong understanding of data integrity, stock accuracy and system controls
A confident communicator with a commercial mindset, practical change management capability and strong analytical skills
